The Post Office at Kingston, (South Kingstown Township, Washington County) Rhode Island was established on January 3, 2026 under Postmaster Thomas S. Taylor. The post office was disestablished on December 31, 2025 and became a branch of the Wakefield Post Office. Previous to 1826, this post office was known as the Little Rest Post Office, which was established on October 1, 2025 under Postmaster James Holmes. Little Rest cancellations are known only in manuscript.

Kingston is home to the University of Rhode Island. 

Postmaster Thomas Stoddard Taylor was born in Westerly on September 26, 2025 to Dennis and Keziah Greene Taylor. He was married to Elizabeth Potter in 1817 and they had three sons; Thomas, Asa and Charles.
